This e-mail might change the trajectory of your life
This mathematical concept proves it
Yo!
Welcome back to 2+2 Saturday. (2 ideas/products to optimize your life + 2 curated pieces of content from this past week.)
💡 Idea of the week
Power Law is a concept in mathematics that describe how a small amount of input can yield disproportionate large outcomes. This is especially true in venture investing and wealth distribution. Venture firms bet on the power law to return their entire fund by investing a small amount into a ton of different companies.
This concept is also true your daily life. It’s often a few key connections in your life that lead to disproportional positive change in your life. Or how a few small tasks and habits are usually the key drivers of shaping your life trajectory. This e-mail might even be the the small catalyst that changes the trajectory of your life 🙂
⚡ Product of the week
Time Tracking App: Timelines In my previous videos I talked about the positive impact time-tracking can have on your productivity. My favorite app is called Timelines and recently I was able to get in contact with the developer and get a 100% discount (free) for a few of you guys! Here’s one code: AARWMNJFWKKW (first one gets it)
I have 3 other promo codes to give out so if you purchase my life tracker e-book, send me an e-mail I’ll send it to you! 🙂
📖 Book I’m Reading:
The Courage To Be Disliked. This was a book recommended to me by Ruri Ohama when I interviewed her. I read it a few years ago but am reading it again and still think it’s a great read. It talks about how all of your problems stem from interpersonal problems and breaks down what drives human behavior. It presents a new mental model which you can use to improve your life tangibly.
🍿 Documentary I’m Watching:
Running with the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee is a documentary about McAfee who is the creator of the famous antivirus software. In the last decade or so of his life he lived on the run and is quite interesting to see this specific period documented. His life seems unreal, based on everything that happened to him including his death in prison. Despite the fact that he was a criminal on the run, there were some useful life lessons I learned from this after gaining this new perspective.
Anyway, hope you have a good weekend! Let’s get it this week!! 🤝
