The most productive time to exercise and focus

Science-backed.

Yo what’s up.

Lately I’ve been interested in figuring out the most productive times to exercise and most productive times to focus. It led me down a path of learning about chronotypes, which are classifications of your genetic predisposition to your circadian rhythm.

Depending on the type, you have a different hour of day that is optimal for you to get into a flow state and get work done. (or just have a great workout)

This isn’t some spiritual woo-woo type of stuff btw, it’s supposed to be based on your genetic predisposition of your circadian rhythm. (I could be wrong lol) They’ve created these 4 types because they found almost everyone can fit into these 4 types. (There are also some that found 6 types to be more accurate, but I think this is enough to get an idea)

You can take a quiz here. It takes about 2 minutes. (I’m not affiliated, and it does ask you for your e-mail at the end)

Anyway, I found out I’m a bear chronotype, and it’s crazy because the optimal schedule it gave me is pretty much my exact schedule that took me months of trial and error, sleep and mood tracking to discover. So yeah, it’s probably a better idea to just take the quiz.

Here is the “ideal schedule” for these 4 types.

What do you think? Do you fit into these chrono-types types?

📖 What I’m Reading

This week I re-read The Almanack of Naval Ravikant. (3rd time already) He’s a ultra-successful startup investor and the book is a absolute goldmine for philosophy on how to think, how to succeed and build wealth, and how to live a fulfilling life. Easy read, takes about 1-2 days. Highly recommend 🙂

🍿 Update of the week:
I made a video sharing my minimalistic dumb-phone set up. It’s reduced my screen-time dramatically and I can’t live without it now. if you’re interested go check out the video here 🙂

Happy Sunday,
Eric
